We're seeking an energetic Processing Supervisor to assist with the rest of our 2022 vegetable processing season up to mid-December. This position has the possibility of an extension. The successful candidate would be eligible for a benefits package after 6 months of employment!

Your daily role
How can you make a greater impact?
You'll invest the majority of your time in these areas:
- Manage daily team member work assignments and attendance;
- Coach and train to promote safe and effective work practices, issue discipline as required;
- Ensure Processing production requirements are met accurately;
- Actively participate in health and safety and food safety programs;
- Relay operational instructions and information to team members;
- Act as a liaison with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics personnel;
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of the business;
- Participate in a variety of meetings and training sessions, conduct training sessions where necessary;
- Responsible for operational effectiveness in the areas of budgets, labour, and department performance;
- Promote a culture of health and safety, food safety, engagement, and inclusivity.
Your profile
You will bring the following to the business:
- Post-secondary education with a minimum of two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with preference given to those with experience in the food industry;
- Must have a strong working knowledge of OHSA and food safety;
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Must have a solid working knowledge of manufacturing and inventory systems;
- Must have the demonstrated ability to lead by example and motivate our team members to excel;
- Must have the ability to analyze and solve problems for continuous process improvements;
- Must have the ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
- Knowledge of Google Workspace tools is an asset;
- Ability to speak Spanish is an asset.
