 The Logistics Support Analyst will look for opportunities to create and streamline processes to deliver quality and value to our internal/external Customers while pursuing further business growth initiatives.  The successful candidate will be a dedicated, creative, outside of the box thinker and a problem-solver who seeks to enrich their understanding of logistics parts management and the supply chain.  The role provides an opportunity for regular internal interactions with various departments across the organization and with external customers. 

Key Job Elements

• Analyze, scrutinize, and maintain GDLS and government databases to develop recommendations and reports related to logistics and provisioning
• Conduct parts consumption, inventory level, and configuration analyses for various platforms
• Provide subject matter expertise and support to field organizations as required
• Develop presentations and charts to support customer meetings on current issues with fielded products
• Determine mitigation plans to existing gaps in support and lead initiatives to resolve issues discovered
• Develop and modify automated reports and macros to coalesce data for analyses and reporting
• Review part information to support accurate material procurement
• Identify obsolete material candidates and determine effects on other parts/assemblies where applicable
• Develop parts lists to meet unit requirements as well as other programmatic activities

Position Requirements:

Required Qualifications

• A post-secondary degree/diploma in a complementary discipline (computer sciences, business, operations management)
• 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
• Proven performer in a results-oriented, dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-platform environment
• Strong administrative, organizational, analytical, oral, and written skills
• Logistics Support experience
• Demonstrated ability and comfort for learning new software systems
• Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
• Must hold or be able to obtain Canada Secret Level II Security Clearance
• Ability to navigate and interpret government contracts
• Proficient in the use of MS Office, especially Excel – advanced, Access – intermediate+

 Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with computer programming, database development and manipulation
• Military experience, familiarity with GDLS platforms or knowledge of US Army support concepts
• Background in, or strong understanding of the provisioning process, development of parts manuals, and configuration management
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics incl. Eng. Change Requests
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) familiarization
• PMP certification
