Job Description:

  • 3M is seeking a Human Resources Leader, located in London, ON to lead the Human Resources function for our Manufacturing/Distribution locations in London Ontario, Chicoutimi Quebec, and Mississauga Ontario.   The successful candidate will make an impact by providing guidance and counsel to management and employees on company guidelines, labour and employee relations, compliance, performance management, investigations, diversity and inclusion, workforce staffing, and training and development needs.

     

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Provide consultation and training for Supervisors/Managers/Employees on HR systems, tools, processes, compliance, collective agreement administration and policies
    • Lead HR projects that assist in the understanding and development of a culture supportive of the manufacturing business strategy
    • Proactively manage the plants Labour Relations including grievances, negotiations, investigations, and other relevant employment matters
    • Seek out opportunities to increase employee engagement and satisfaction
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regional HR Business Partners

     

    To set you up for success in this role from Day 1, 3M requires (at minimum) the following qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or related post-secondary education
    • 3 years of HR/Labour relations experience
    • 1 year of providing HR support within a manufacturing organization

     

    Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

    • Ability to translate industry knowledge into actionable strategies
    • Understanding of recruiting practices, methodologies, and tools
    • CHRP/CHRL or related HR certification an asset
    • Fluency in French an asset
    • Excellent communication skills

     

    Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel approximately 10% of the time, which may involve overnight stays. A valid driver’s license is required.
