Our 147,000 square foot production facility boasts a state-of-the-art air quality and ventilation system including air purifiers, ten skylights, strategically placed ceiling fans, top of the line welding machines and helmets and high efficiency LED lighting throughout the production floor.

 

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a quality-conscious and detail-oriented Roll Machine Operator to effectively join our team at SLEEGERS. The successful candidate will join our Production Team on our ASME weld and fabrication line. Your core responsibilities will include:

 

  • Setup, operate, and troubleshoot hydraulic plate rolling machines safely and efficiently.
  • Be able to handle raw material with overhead crane and load roll forming machine with raw material.
  • Read part drawings and production documents.
  • Use measuring instruments and gauges to check finished parts against specifications.
  • Document work completed.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in plate rolling steel plate from 1/16” and thicker.
  • Trained in the safe use of plate rolls.
  • Experience in layout of metal materials.
  • Embraces our high productivity work environment by positively contributing to the team effort and meeting or exceeding production targets
  • CNC machine experience considered an asset
  • Prior welding experience considered an asset

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a production/fabrication environment
  • Ability to use tape measure
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Works independently
