Our location in London, ON has an opening for Full Time Production / Relief Depositing Team Lead.

Position Description: (This is a full-time production role that provides Team Lead backup when needed)

The relief team lead provides leadership, direction, coaching, and training to production personnel. They are responsible and accountable for performance standards and ensure company policy, procedures, and duties are followed and maintained at all times. Team leads are role models for performance excellence. When not performing the Team Lead role, this position will complete production line duties in our various production areas.

Responsibilities & Duties: (this is meant to be an outline, not an exhaustive list of responsibilities)

• Work on the production line in a variety of roles (Depositing, Decorating and Packaging) to produce our high-quality cake products.
• The direction of department staff and assignment of duties, training of procedures, processes, and policy
• Planning and organization of operating functions and responsibilities
• Coordination of tasks, priorities, and responsibilities
• Effectively communicating with other departments in order to ensure we achieve organizational results.
• Various team lead and operating functions as they relate to the effective operation of the department.
• Working with operating and manufacturing equipment, making adjustments and troubleshooting
• Adherence to procedures, sanitation & quality compliance, safety practices, and policy and holding others accountable for the same.

Position Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience working as a team lead in a continuous process manufacturing environment, preferably food or pharmaceutical.
• High school diploma or similar.
• Ability to work independently, well organized, effective judgment, strong organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
• Leads the workforce by setting high standards for safety, punctuality, attendance, enthusiasm, work ethic, and personal effort.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to make change quickly and respond to unplanned situations.
• Proficient with computer applications and comfortable learning new systems.

Shift Summary:

• Required to be available for a minimum of five shifts per week from Monday to Saturday, with Saturdays being a regularly required shift.
• Desire more hours? Increase your availability!
• All the shifts are rotational and run for 8 hours with a 30-minute break added.

Schedule:

• Schedules are posted 2 weeks in advance.
• Must be able to accommodate all the starting times on the specified shift.
• Start times could be different every day,
  • A-Shift start times are between 1:00 am - 6:00 am
  • C-Shift start times are between 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm

What We Offer:

Pay Rate: While performing Production role, probationary rate per hour is $18.83 and full rate is $20.92.

                  While performing Team Lead role, probationary rate per hour is $24.21 and full rate is $26.90.
