RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATION

• Utilizing excellent written communication skills, produce clear and well-organized documents

• Build and mentor an effective and empowered purchasing team to support business needs.

• Actively participate as a dynamic, progressive member of the leadership team to strengthen our ability to perform and grow to meet our maximum group potential

• Supervise purchasing resource support and delegate tasks across departments when necessary.

• Establish an environment among the purchasing team where supplier cost reduction initiatives are part of daily tasks to meet annual reduction targets.

• Measure and report key purchasing and inventory metrics.

• Develop a procurement culture, building and maintaining solid relationships across the organization to find opportunities to improve purchasing

• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

 

PRO-ACTIVE SUPPLIER SUPPLY MANAGEMENT

• Negotiate/Manage contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors.

• Develop robust vendor relationships to maintain effective communication channels and ensure ongoing alignment across several operations teams.

• Establish strong, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to strategically develop, implement and optimize vendor management processes, tools and policies to achieve performance objectives.

• Monitor supplier performance and meet contractual obligations.

 

SUPPLY CHAIN RISK MANAGEMENT

• Mitigate Supply Chain risk through supplier qualification, development, and alternatives.

• Development and execution of Supplier transfers

• Develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.

• Identify potential risks which exist within the supply base, devise a plan, and lead a team to mitigate any negative impacts to TMI.

 

PROCUREMENT

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies to reduce cost and improve product quality.

• Systematically determine optimized purchase quantities and delivery times.

 

INTERDEPARTMENTAL COLLABORATION

• Work with Fulfillment Manager to review parts and order quantities and adjust as required.

• Procure emergency items with short notice.

• Monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing.

• Work with Operations and Quality departments to address supplier Quality non-

• conformances in a timely manner with an unbiased approach to achieve Client satisfaction

• and initiate appropriate corrective actions in Production / Operations as required.

• Manage and monitor TMI molding assets in collaboration with TMI Tooling Engineering Specialist.

 

HEALTH & SAFETY

• Comply and maintain direct report’s compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience developing predictive and advanced analytics methods to assess, manage and mitigate material flow disruption issues, optimize supply chain operations, and employ lean purchasing processes.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Management or Engineering related field

• 5+ years of managerial supply chain managerial responsibility in high demand, high volume environment, preferably healthcare

• Experience in vendor negotiations

• Experience in managing a global Supply Chain

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, ERP) and strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, and identify appropriate solutions, options, and insights

• Knowledge of contract law; principles of negotiations; procurement techniques; contract development and administration

• Proven grasp of negotiation techniques and excellent interpersonal communication to make meaningful professional connections with Suppliers and Vendors.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

• Plastics Molding and Assembly Experience and knowledge.

• Electronics, Electrical contract manufacturing and component procurement
