Role Summary

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Administrator is reponsibile for, but not limited to, the coordinating of Qualtech Seating Systems' policies, procedures, benefits and record keeping functions in support of the facility's objectives. Ensures that the HR department's administrative processes are up to date, relevant, available and actionable.  


Key Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and practices to ensure the safety of yourself and all co-workers, participating in monthly safety talks, correcting unsafe acts or unsafe conditions as observed. Comply with all Company safety policies, procedures and rules.

Ensure that all Human Resources departmental work activities are aligned to the Magna Employee Charter and Magna Corporate Constitution. 

Responsible for benefits administration related to employee concerns, questions and communicates accurate information regarding same to employees. Preparation of confidential correspondence and internal memorandum electronic mail communication and fax communications. Filing and maintenance of records. Arrange and coordinate off-site/on-site meeting and catering needs as required. 

Maintains the HR department's job descriptions, training records, etc., in an accurate and timely manner.

Maintains updates on employee and dependent records and communicates changes to other relevant parties both inside and outside of Magna International Inc. 

Tracks and maintains employee work schedules for the purpose of accurately determining proper administration of benefits and attendance records. 

Provides various statistical metrics related to the performance of departmental goals and objectives - Key Operating Indicators (KOI's).

Maintains the facility's employee records for the purpose of coordinating information with payroll and conducts employee orientation. 

Administers the HRIS systems as required and ensures effective interface with payroll and other business-related functions.

Performs full cycle recruitment for various departments. 

Supports other HR staff with various duties including the reception of employees and the resolution of employee inquiries related to benefits and employee relations' policies and procedures. Addresses and forwards employee inquiries to relevant operational or administrative personnel. Supports other departments in HR related functions as required. 

Perform special projects in support of the organization's business objectives. 

Adheres to technical system procedures and instructions. 

Responsible for maintaining quality procedures and instructions within the department. 

Other projects and duties as assigned. 


Key Qualifications/Requirements

A College diploma in a related field, or certificate in Human Resources. 

1-2 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a JIT manufacturing environment, Tier 1 or OEM, or equivalent combination.

CHRP designation or working towards preferable.

Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple tasks in a confidential and professional manner.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Excellent communication skills, proficient with computers, Microsoft Office. 

Flexible to work various hours based on departmental requirements.
