  3M is on an exciting journey to continue to deploy advanced analytics solutions across our operations. To support this journey, 3M is seeking an Analytics Engineering Solutions Lead with a focus on identifying and defining technical solutions for operational analytics. In addition to supporting the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions, you will also provide guidance to other strategic and high impact analytics initiatives.

   

  As an Analytics Engineering Solutions Lead, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Driving operational excellence through the design and implementation of analytics solutions
  • Collaborating with local and global teams on data strategies while ensuring performance, stability, security, and continuous improvement across platforms
  • Investigating data and the inter-operability of processes and platforms
  • Exploring and communicating new concepts, ideas, techniques, best practices, and technology advancement strategies across multiple disciplines including cloud solutions, data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Building and maintaining documentation of complex programs, applications, and/or processes

   

  Your Skills and Expertise 
  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of experience in project management in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Three (3) years of experience developing data intelligence solutions in a private, public, government or military environment
  • One (1) year of experience developing Microsoft Power BI data models and dashboards in a private, public, government or military environment

   

  Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Strong SQL, Database, Data Modeling, Time Series, Data Warehousing and Development skills and the ability to navigate and analyze complex data structures
  • Degrees or certifications in architecture, data engineering, data science (AI/ML), and/or application development
  • Experience with corporate-scaled platforms and analytic services (Azure, AWS, HANA, Snowflake) and industry leading dashboarding and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc)
  • Solid understanding of the SAP ERP Ecosystem, including its processes and related bolt-on tools (Vendavo, Vistex, Workday, etc)
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with an ability to clearly communicate to various levels including management and senior leadership

   

  Travel: May include up to 10% domestic travel
