Shipping Coordinator
 

Job Description

 

1.0  Position Summary:

The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for completing all warehouse shipping processes and ensuring outgoing shipments are completed in a safe and efficient manner.

 

2.0  Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment to meet Safety and 5S targets
  • Process and ship supplier returns/purchase orders
  • Process all green tag shipments
  • Investigate short, late, and missing shipments/deliveries
  • Coordinate displays, shows and resets with display department
  • Process US ground shipment for pickup
  • Report the volume for the day to the LTL carriers
  • Confirm LTL shipments as carriers complete pickups
  • Review Fill Rate Report daily
  • Review 4pm report and metrics and reprint picks if necessary
  • Reprint and close BOL’s/Packing slips
  • Process any online orders such as UPS International or confidential documents
  • Sort/process undeliverable shipments
  • Coordinate customer pickups
  • Collect, file, and sort all documents

 

3.0  Health & Safety:

  • Maintain a safe workplace
  • Wear Personal Protective equipment as required on the shop floor
  • Comply with the company policies and OHSA (Occupational Health & Safety Act)
  • Follow safe work and lockout / tagout procedures as required
  • Report unsafe conditions as soon as possible

 

4.0  Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with the Masco Canada Product Compliance Management System

 

5.0  Quality:

  • Report any potentially defective or damaged products or packaging to the quality dept and the supervisor

 

6.0  Autonomous Maintenance:

  • NA

 

7.0  5S:

  • Ensure your work area is maintained at required daily 5S standards
  • Correct any deviations from 5S standards immediately

 

 8.0  Daily Management:

  • NA

 

9.0  Standard Work:

  • NA

 

10.0  Qualification:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Emergency First Aid/CPR and AED Certification
  • Shipping knowledge is an asset
  • JDE and Peartree experience is an asset
  • Computer literacy is required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
