Job Position:  Lead Hand

Schedule:

Winter Months (September - May 1st) = Monday - Friday; 3pm -11pm
Summer Months (May 1st - Sept 1st) = Sunday - Thursday; 3pm - 11pm

Overview of the Role

• Under the responsibility of your Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing production and packaging of feta packaging

• Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. quality, food safety and health and safety standards.

• Other duties as assigned

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Sanitation of all parts, equipment and department as per standard operating procedures

• Completion of all documentation (HACCP forms, sign in/outs & offs, make sheets etc.)

• Ensure correct batch numbers are used with all products

• A high commitment level and a team player who works well with everyone

• Can easily assume additional responsibility as required

• Assigning duties to staff (Cleaning, covering breaks, assorted other duties)

• Quick at assessing the facts and making a sound decision

• Working with other departments as needed (Yogurt, Cheese, QA, Maintenance, Warehouse)

• Train new employees in equipment lines, Health & Safety and Food safety matters.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting and record keeping with the ability to adapt to changing environments quickly and easily

• Sound communication and interpersonal skills: demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.

• Must be self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and the ability to function independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to motivate and encourage employee to be team players and execute their tasks.
