Reporting to the Plant Manager and functionally to the Director of Operational Excellence, the Continuous Improvement Advisor uses his/her Lean knowledge to identify opportunities for process standardization and improvement, waste reduction and problem solving to improve plant productivity. He/she is responsible for executing the transformation plan defined for his/her plant. He/she acts as a coach and facilitator for the plant's continuous improvement project teams. He/she contributes to the implementation of a continuous improvement culture and the sharing of best practices within the organization.

Main responsibilities:

• Implement the transformation plan under his/her responsibility;
• Promote continuous improvement in order to initiate the organization's strategic shift;
• Gather and analyze data and conduct a root cause analysis in order to properly target and understand the problem;
• Define project mandates, communicate updates and provide required documentation;
• Facilitate projects to improve productivity, first time quality and reduce waste in the plants in order to contribute to the achievement of the objectives;
• Facilitate problem solving workshops, Kaizen, SMED, 5S, ADKAR;
• Accompany employees in change management by communicating with collaborators from all shifts;
• Develop indicators and tools to monitor performance;
• Actively participates in the Business Unit continuous improvement forums to share best practices and lessons.

Profile:

• 3-5 years experience in a similar role in continuous improvement;
• College/university degree or equivalent in industrial engineering or relevant experience;
• Knowledge and willingness to learn Lean (SMED, 5S, ADKAR);
• Open to obtaining Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training;
• Strong change management skills;
• Ability to facilitate multi-disciplinary work groups;
• Well organized with excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (French and Spanish an asset).
