What We Are Looking for in a Candidate

The role and duties of the Production Leader are multi-faceted. Acting as the Supervisor to Team Leaders and direct production team is the most critical role of the PL and drives many of the other duties of the PL. These duties support the Team Leaders ability to execute at a high level. Examples of these duties are: EHS Advocate; Production Planning; Staffing, KPI’s; Lean & CIP; Engineering/Technical Support; Financial Controls - Budget & Cost Management; Audits: PM, Safety, Training & Qualification, etc.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for quality, productivity, delivery performance and customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for leading Team Leader’s and production personnel
  • Responsible for providing a safe work environment and promoting safe work habits in all employees
  • Responsible for creating a motivating atmosphere of trust and open communication
  • Responsible for monitoring staffing levels ensuring proper labor complements and adjust accordingly
  • Holds TL’s accountable for maintaining a competent, skilled work group following training and development guidelines
  • Actively leads all employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
  • Actively supports and is engaged in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for ensuring all quality standards are adhered to in area of responsibility
  • Supports Engineering Initiatives and Projects
  • Financial Management, Controls and Compliance


Your Skill Set

Technical degree/diploma preferred or comparable work experience
Minimum of three years relevant experience as a Supervisor/Team Lead
Demonstrated leadership skills and business acumen
Broad manufacturing experience
Good knowledge of production processes, measurement & inspection procedures, production planning and control, budget process, MS-Office and SAP
Ability to manage and lead team leaders and other direct reports
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
Experience and knowledgeable of health and safety systems
