Plant Controller

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Executive Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), this role will act as a critical business partner to the Plant leadership teams at two Canadian plants and will provide strong financial leadership and contribute to all areas of plant management including capital investments.  This role will be responsible for maintaining a strong control environment at the plant, developing plant budget, monthly performance analysis, cost management and assessing financial viability of new business and cost improvement initiatives.   This role will coach and develop one staff member.

YOUR FUTURE:

• Generate financial and production reporting packages including variance analysis and commentary vs budget, and facilitate ongoing discussions around cost control and ongoing savings initiatives at the plant.
• Manage Budget and forecast process for multiple plants including joint development of production assumptions, loading and validation of budget data as well as generating budget / forecast packages for internal and global review.
• Monitor efficient and effective production at multiple plants and partner with the functional stakeholders to strengthen internal controls in production financial and production data integrity in compliance with company policies.
• Lead capital investment project planning and reporting processes at the plants. 
• Provide support and advisory to plants in order to improve plant productivity, as well as increase plant efficiencies and profitability of the assortments.
• Generate project costing in case of new launches, selections, relaunches, assortment optimizations as well as standard costing.
• Support ongoing implementation of Dr. Oetker global financial initiatives (ie. SAP upgrades, planning system, functional harmonization)
• Prepare any required financial and related reports and analysis for Management.
• Support and coordinate those employees using SAP for production processes.

YOUR STRENGTHS:

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration & Management Accounting
• Completion of professional accounting designation (CPA)
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing organization
• CPG experience strongly preferred
