We are seeking a Process Technician to join our Team for our state-of-the-art facility in London, Ontario. You will be responsible for guiding the Production team members through the correct setup of equipment to correspond with different products. Additionally, the Process Technician will troubleshoot Production equipment settings and operational activities to ensure the maximum amount of graded slabs are produced.

Accountabilities:

  • Participate in the efforts to improve productivity, maximize efficiency and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Guide and educate production team on setup for different products
  • Troubleshoot production issues and make setting adjustments to ensure product is being produced
  • Advise and educate production team on any setting adjustments required
  • Analyze product results and create summary report
  • Schedule and maintain inventory
  • Check and order tools and equipment related to production
  • Diagnose and solve process related issues
  • Monitor all production runs and collect required data
  • Liaise with Supervisor and maintenance team members when work exceeds scope of knowledge/ experience
  • Participate in all training required to effectively and safely perform Preventative Maintenance duties.
  • Guide team with all production related duties including cleaning and TPM of equipment
  • Create work orders using Breton PLC and maintain Breton Supervisor system
  • Support Raw Material checks when required
  • Support Development Department for new product
  • Any other duties as required

Skills & Experience

  • A Process Control Technician or a Chemical Engineering Technician background is required
  • Previous experience working in a QA environment
  • Comfortable using Microsoft office with a focus on Excel
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Detail oriented and proactive approach to trouble shooting
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to apply logic
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Must be able to work a 3-shift rotation
