Driver / Shop Hand

Givens Engineering has an opportunity for a “Driver / Shop Hand” to join our growing team.

Candidates must possess a valid passport, and be able to enter the United States, while driving a “pickup truck” and 20ft trailer.

At Givens Engineering our team designs and fabricates industrial lifting equipment, custom tooling, and automated systems. We are the largest manufacturer of manipulators and cranes in Canada serving a vast range of industries such as automotive, food processing, plastic and chemical, pharmaceutical, defence, and many more.

The “Driver” roll will consist of making “day trips” to our US location. 2-4 times monthly. As well as other local / regional deliveries.

The “Shop Hand” roll will involve general shop duties depending on your level of experience. With the opportunity to grow into other internal roles.

Driver

• Must possess a valid passport
• Must be allowed entry in the US
• Must be able to safely drive a “pickup truck” and 20ft trailer

Shop Hand

• Must me mechanically inclined
• Able to read a tape measure
• Able to work well with others, and take direction effectively
• Must be self-motivated
• Good “Common Sense”

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
