THE OPPORTUNITY
As an established industry leader in plant based food products, we are excited to offer the opportunity to an outgoing, resourceful and energetic individual with demonstrated leadership skills to PARTNER with us as a full time Material Handler and grow for success! The qualified candidates for this position would be required to work rotating continental shift work (12-hour shifts), which will involve working every other weekend. (36-48 hours per week). In this role you will report to the Operations Leader.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure the supply of cartons and vegetable products is available to meet production objectives and customer specifications while maintaining standards of food safety
- Maintain the cleanliness of your work area and perform tasks within safety standards.
- Provide accurate and legible daily production records
- Conduct washouts and changeovers in a time effective manner
- Operate a narrow aisle reach truck ( training to be provided- experience not required)
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leads to maintain production
- Identifying, correcting and communicating safety risks, to the supervisors and fellow employees
- OSSD or equivalent
- Previous food handling experience
- Able to work in a physically strenuous work environment
- Able to work at elevated levels
- Able to work in a cold work environment
- Strong quality conscious mindset and attention to detail paying attention to safety
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to work independently
- Available to work shift work (days and nights) and weekends
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and computer skills
- Able to work as part of a team and promote a positive work environment
