Procurement Professional

Position Description:

KEY JOB ELEMENTS:

• Lead  bid and proposal activities including negotiating scope of work, Terms and Conditions, cost and schedule for best value awardDevelop and present (Procurement Strategy Review Board) / (Procurement Approval Review Board) and associated awards of subcontract or purchase order 
• Support execution of the work including risk mitigation, issue resolution, payment plan management, delivery performance, review and approval of deliverables, cost to budget, and change management
• Track commodity trends, understand the market and industry, and research/explore new technology and/or capabilities
• Responsible for supplier development with respect to issue resolution, supplier relationship management, and the Intensive Management Process
• Forecast material sales and manage supplier activity to achieve the forecast
• Participate in design IPTs for new variant releases or new program launches
• Provide mentorship and coaching to other Buyers and team members

Position Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree or college diploma in business or supply chain related discipline
• Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• High level of organizational skills and detail orientation
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Process and results oriented
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to travel (10% Cdn, 10% US/Int’l) and possess / able to acquire and maintain a valid passport

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous Supply Chain Management experience
• Technical aptitude
• Financial aptitude
