Indiva (TSXV: NDVA) (OTCQX: NDVAF) is a Canadian licensed producer of premium cannabis and cannabis products, and a provider of extraction, manufacturing and refinement services. Indiva aims to be a clear Canadian leader in the cannabis industry by creating products that outperform the field in their quality and creativity.

Based in London, Ontario, Indiva’s state-of-the-art facility includes aeroponic, environmentally-conscious grow rooms and an extraction and manufacturing space, which will be able to process 70 tonnes of biomass annually and produce safe, high-quality cannabis-infused edibles.

In Canada, Indiva will produce and distribute the award-winning Bhang® Chocolate, Ruby® Cannabis Sugar, Sapphire™ Cannabis Salt, Gems™, and other derivative products through license agreements and joint ventures.

We are looking for a labeling specialist to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform all technical procedures ensuring compliance with security measures, standard operating procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and government regulations for all tasks/equipment
  • Creating artwork within the framework established by marketing needs, corporate format and regulatory compliance.
  • Responsible for the creation of templates using label software with static and variable fields and inputting variable data as required
  • Review artwork to ensure content is accurate, complete, and current, and investigates label discrepancies, missing documentation and inaccuracies in Change Control submissions / Artwork.
  • Responsible for management of new/revised labeling from beginning of labeling request process until the implementation of labeling into production
  • Follow procedures to maintain current versions and labeling databases
  • Responsible for system requirements and equipment
  • Identify, develop and implement best practices of the Label Control Function as appropriate to improve efficiency
  • As part of the Inventory team, act as liaison with Regulatory, Marketing, Operations and Sales of and manage changes to support label needs
  • Review labels prior to assigning the labels to Production
  • Ensure variable data printed on the labels is verified and compliant with
  • the lot coding procedure and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Complete all label approval forms completed and approved by Quality Assurance Person prior to printing the final label
  • Creation and monitoring of pre-printed label inventories and safety stocks
  • Ensure supply of product master case labels to production team whenever needed
  • Ensure product and case labels are following the most up to date supply chain requirement guidelines issued by the Provinces (authorized distributor of cannabis)
  • Manage obsolete inventory levels
  • Manage the data and artwork file repository/archive regulatory authority review
  • Print the labels as per production request and depending on the forecast
  • Other duties assigned by reporting manager

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in chemical, food, pharmaceutical science or a combination of High School Diploma and in a position similar to packaging and labeling with 1-2 years of experience
  • Preferred Knowledge of ERP system such as SAP or seed-to-sale software applications will be considered an asset
  • Must be familiar with label printers and associated software applications
  • such as bartender
  • Must be familiar with the use of bar code label printers and scanner guns
  • Knowledge of packaging and labeling regulatory guidelines shall be
  • considered an asset
  • Knowledge of template software and designing software applications (Bartender, Adobe illustrator etc) shall be considered an asset
  • Must be familiar with zebra printers, digital printing, thermal printing and other set of printers used to print labels
  • Clear criminal record
